We had 25 worthy applicants for the grants generously given by the SDRRMA. A panel of five selected the recipients based on their submitted essays. The task of choosing was very difficult – I’m sorry there weren’t 25 grants available.
The five schools chosen to receive the $1000 grants from the South Dakota Rock & Roll Music Association are Avon, Burke, Freeman Public, Lyman, and Mt. Vernon.
They also awarded SDBA an additional $1000 grant to be used in our mentoring program.
